Residential driveway entrance: which products to use?
For surfaces subject to traffic other than pedestrian (such as vehicles), we recommend using paving stones with a minimum thickness of 60 mm. While slabs and paving stones share the same base (concrete), slabs are often thinner and therefore less resistant to heavy loads. In other words, slabs are primarily used for patios, terraces, and gardens. Paving stones, on the other hand, can be used for driveways, spa surrounds, or other high-traffic areas. We invite you to consult our product sheets: Important: Paving stones can be used to create a patio without any problems. However, slabs cannot be used to create a residential driveway!
