It's the holiday season… and the time for good deeds! And we're kicking it off with Movember…

The holiday season has a certain magic to it: it's a time when solidarity, generosity, and mutual support take center stage. To highlight this wonderful energy, we're showcasing some of the charitable initiatives undertaken during 2025, including Movember, which concluded this past Monday, December 1st, with a fundraising drive for a worthy cause.

Movember: Growing solidarity, one moustache at a time

Movember, or "blue November", is a charity event that originated in Australia in 2003. It aims to raise awareness among men about their health, particularly men's cancers. This year, Patio Drummond joined the movement, and throughout November, our team was invited to participate by growing their moustaches. To further support the movement, Patio Drummond chose to add a $20 donation for each participant.

An auction… for a legendary moustache

To increase the fundraising total, we also had a slightly crazy idea, but after all, going a little crazy for a good cause is allowed, isn't it? The plan was simple: auction off Stan's mustache. And anyone who knows Stan knows that's no small thing! His iconic mustache, which he's sported for years, is practically part of his identity. For him, the real challenge wasn't letting it grow... but sacrificing it. But for such a noble cause, he was ready and courageous, especially when he declared: "If the fundraiser reaches $500, the person who puts in the most money will have the privilege of cutting my moustache themselves!"

December 1st: the day of the big shave

To celebrate the end of Movember, we organized a small event. Razors, shaving cream, and a friendly atmosphere were all part of the fun. But most importantly, discussions took place about the movement and its importance. The team was there to encourage the participants and congratulate them on their commitment. That's where we discovered that 12 people had taken up the challenge of growing a mustache, and some had even volunteered to shave off mustaches they'd worn for a very long time. Seeing our team so enthusiastic and committed to supporting a good cause was truly inspiring! As for the auction for Stan's moustache, the pot reached $540, so it was about time! The moment everyone had been waiting for for a month, seeing Stan with his famous moustache, finally arrived: Stan agreed to sacrifice it. In total, $1,500 was raised and donated to Movember. The Patio team thus gave a wonderful demonstration that solidarity... grows quickly when everyone gets involved.
