Concrete products offer a great deal of flexibility in a landscaping project. They are ready to be installed as soon as you take possession and are designed to withstand the freeze-thaw cycles typical of Canada's harsh climate. Patio Drummond offers a wide range of products in four distinct categories:

Assembling our fireplaces is SUPER simple and most only take a few minutes to put together (well, let's say under an hour, tops!). Our fireplaces:

Besides the price, the main difference is that a stainless steel spark arrestor won't rust. Black painted steel, over time, may require more maintenance! That's why we recommend, whenever possible, storing your spark arrestor indoors or covering it with a tarp for the winter!

This is perfectly normal. Although some find it inconvenient, we believe it's safer this way. If there were handles on the spark screen, many would be tempted to use them to open it and add wood to the fireplace. We therefore recommend using a commercially available poker to open both sides of the spark screen. Simply insert the end of the poker into one of the holes in the spark screen to open it – but do so with caution!

We do not recommend using any products other than Moderno, Urbania, BBQ, and Rustico blocks to build fire pits. This is because our accessories, such as the spark arrestor, are designed for safe fire pit use and are not compatible with our other concrete products. In the event of direct contact with a flame, other landscaping products could suffer thermal shock and crack, which is why we do not recommend them for fire pit construction.

Decorative walls are purely aesthetic. While they serve a purpose and are functional, they remain primarily ornamental in your landscaping. A retaining wall, as its name suggests, must support and contain the earth in front of which it is built. It must therefore be able to withstand the weight and pressure of the earth, especially during severe weather. This type of structure requires a proper foundation and excellent drainage to prevent cracking and subsidence under water pressure. Installing a geotextile membrane and a perforated drain, using suitable crushed stone, and ensuring proper compaction are all elements that will guarantee the longevity of your project.

The maximum height is determined by the product. Please carefully consult the product page of the retaining wall you are interested in! The height of a retaining wall varies according to several criteria: the type of material used, the type of soil, the wall's slope, any additional loads above the wall, and several other factors. Depending on your project, you may need to consult with an engineer to ensure your project is compliant and safe.
