The pig hopper slab is installed under the pig feeder and protects your slats from the animals' acid saliva. Hopper-type concrete slabs are designed to minimize waste and maximize feed conversion. They are easy to maintain and reinforced with polypropylene fibers for a durable, safe product.
No metal framework
The pigs’ acidic saliva eats away at the concrete over the long term. The reinforcement can rust and injure the pigs. This is why we use a solution that makes the hog feeder slab even more durable and safe.

How does a hog feeder slab work?
The hog feeder slab is installed below the hopper and on top of your slatted floor. It prevents feed from falling between the slat openings. Your animals can therefore eat directly from the hopper slab, increasing your feed conversion. And your slats will last even longer, because the animals’ highly acidic saliva won’t damage them! Clever, isn’t it?
