Their 24 square blocks, placed around a black or stainless steel tub, will build a 42" x 42" refined, modern, yet timeless-looking concrete fire pit. The protection from the flames offered by the inside tub guarantees that you'll enjoy your new outdoor fire pit for many years to come. Because your safety is our concern, we've purposely left the handle off the fireguard, meaning you'll need to use a poker to lift the screen. To optimize the durability of your Moderno fire pit, we recommend you add sand in the bottom of the firebox up to the tank, only make ambient fires and, to prevent thermal shocks, never water the blocks. Using your outdoor fire pit in the winter is not recommended. You can even cover your fire pit during the winter, to keep the blocks looking good.
